I consider Cowboy Bebop more of an action with well written dramatic elements.

...I suppose one could make the same argument for Code Geass, but it's a tad more cerebral than Cowboy Bebop.

I was actually just thinking about this the other day and how there's sort of the strange...dig? At Evangelion maybe?

The plot goes in a weird direction for a while, but it somehow works to point things in a very Gundam Wing direction after that.

Anyhow, Lelouch is certainly a more sympathetic and good, or at least morally grey character than Light, which sort of lends to Death Note maybe losing steam towards the end of its run.

Death Note was a pretty good manga, though the second half really dragged on because the author wanted to make it 108 chapters.

The midieval setting combine with people flying around on zip-lines seem made the premise of fighting giants a little more interesting for me.

I suppose one could argue that's "high concept" but it seems so oddly specific.

Kara no Kyoukai, though I'm not sure about the geminate k. It's how it's abbreviated in Japan. IllFlower uses it.

And the 3D maneuver gear is cool. I've seen the first ten episodes of Attack on Titanium and I liked it. Nice characterization and such.

Well, I wouldn't say Cowboy Bebop is mindless by any stretch of the imagination, there are elements of Code Geass I'd say are a bit more thought provoking.

Honestly though, if Code Geass counts as a "drama" on some level or another, Cowboy Bebop probably does, too. Except for maybe Cowboy Bebop being a genre onto itself. :P
