Because it's late, I'm frazzled, and I felt like having a thread about this show.

    I half-remember it. Other than it involving "doot"s and the show title and being annoyingly catchy, I cannot actually remember much of it at all.

    And the variations where it failed were pretty funny.

    But yes, it was a lot like Revolutionary Girl Utena's ZETTAI UNMEI stairs-o'-doom sequences, but without the benefit of the god-choir.

    On that note: Centie, watch Utena. It's full of swords and weird magic and gender-bending and implied lesbians and incestuous weirdness and it generally rocks.

    Except for the second-to-last arc, which is only awesome in hindsight.

    Well, OK, actual lesbians for sure with Juri (and arguably Shiori), but Utena and Anthy's relationship... OK, it gets less ambiguous later on, but it's never overt text.

    Although there is blatant dude-shagging. With evil laughter, because why not.

    But another thing about this show: Jumbo Pictures worked with Project Zero to build the show around educational content. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that Project Zero is responsible for its relative feeling of sterility and dullness.

    Project Zero is also part of the reason that fellow Jumbo production 101 Dalmatians: The Series was so fucked up. God knows what else was going on behind the scenes of that mess; it wasn't all Project Zero's fault because they only advised a handful of episodes.

    But yes, Centie at least should watch Utena. 'Cause reasons.

    Out of the Box was really fun, and Bear in the Big Blue House was quite soothing. I was a little old for them, though.

    I remember Bear in the Big Blue House mainly for using Lynne Thigpen as Luna

    Those of you who've been in #trashheap lately may know the Carmen Sandiego game shows are an aspie fixation of mine

    Most of their early-mid 2000s stuff was my jam though, PB&J included. I really liked Stanley as well (and if TV Tropes's cribbing of the term Great Big Book of Everything is any evidence, I wasn't the only one).
